Bourbon Woman 'Serious' After Crash At Ind. 19, U.S. 30

ETNA GREEN -ÊA Bourbon woman is in serious condition at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, after a Thursday evening accident at the intersection of U.S. 30 and Ind. 19 in Etna Green.

Nicole Dreibelbis, 20, of Bourbon, was airlifted from the scene of the accident to Parkview Hospital after the accident that occurred around 7:26 p.m. She suffered internal injuries in the crash.

According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, Dreibelbis was driving south on Ind. 19 in a black 1997 Dodge Intrepid when she disregarded a traffic signal and pulled into the path of a 2003 purple Kenworth semi tractor-trailer, driven by Albert K. Dalton II, 58, of Waynesburg, Ohio, that was travelling eastbound on U.S. 30. After the impact, Dreibelbis' car came to rest on westbound U.S. 30.

Dalton was not injured in the collision, and his semi sustained minor damage.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, and the accident remains under investigation.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department was assisted at the scene by the Multi-Township EMS, the Etna Green Fire Department and the Samaritan Air Ambulance.
