Bourbon Man Dies In Fulton County CrashFULTON COUNTY – A 77-year-old man from Bourbon was killed Wednesday morning in a crash in Fulton County.
At approximately 9:18 a.m. Wednesday, officers from the Indiana State Police and the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Old U.S. 31 and CR 450N.
The preliminary crash investigation by Senior Trooper Mike Meiser revealed that Ty Lemler, 29, Bourbon, was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado sound on Old U.S. 31, pulling a car on a flatbed trailer.
Roberto Glemeau, 55, of Powder Springs, Ga., was driving a 2016 Freightliner semi, pulling an empty box trailer, west on CR 450N. For an undetermined reason, the semi failed to yield to traffic on Old U.S. 31 and pulled into the path of the Silverado, according to police.
Lowell Lemler, 77, of Bourbon, was a passenger in the Silverado and pronounced dead at the scene. Ty Lemler was taken by ambulance to a Fort Wayne hospital with unknown injuries.
The crash is an ongoing investigation, according to police, and neither alcohol nor drugs are suspected to have contributed to the crash. Neither occupant in the Silverado was wearing a seatbelt.
ISP was assisted at the scene by the FCSD, Lutheran EMS and the Rochester Fire Department.
