MENTONE - Book Buddies is an early learning program for young children 2-1/2 years old and up, accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
Once a month, children play and learn with planned activities, while parents and caregivers learn ways to nurture learning at home. Activities are designed to help children develop reading, writing and language skills. Each family and caregiver takes home IDEA Pages and a children's book from each session.
Book Buddies is coordinated by Early Childhood Alliance, and funded by Dekko Foundation as part of Triumph. Pre-registration is required. A schedule and registration form is included in the Book Buddies Brochure, available at Bell Memorial Public Library, or call Early Childhood Alliance at 800-423-1498 or 260-745-2501.
The first session begins Sept. 18 at 10 a.m. and continues the third Tuesday of each month through May 20 in the Bell X-1 Room.
