NORTH MANCHESTER — Bonnie L. Shepherd, 61, North Manchester, went to be with the Lord at 7:27 p.m. June 15, 2017, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
She was born Sept. 13, 1955, in Warsaw, to Amos and Rosie Howard Owens. She married Larry Shepherd on May 26, 1973. He survives.
She was office custodian at Strauss Veal Feeds for 14 years.
Bonnie graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 1974 and was a member of Victory Rock Church. She loved to listen to Christian music, but most of all she loved spending time with family and her church family. Bonnie was a people person, with a loving heart and a passion for sharing God’s love.
Survivors include a son, Chad (Kayla Handing) Shepherd, North Manchester; a daughter, Aimee (Benji) Blocher, North Manchester; three brothers: Earman (Ivy) Owens; Earl (Kathy) Owens, Tacoma, Wash.; and Ellis (Dee) Owens, Alexandria; three sisters: Norma Meade, South Whitley; Centha McKenzie, North Manchester; and Sue (Don) Murphy, South Whitley; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents; a brother, Edward Owens; and two sisters, Edith Minnix and Juanita Wolford.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, at Victory Rock Church, 6170 S. 500E, Pierceton, with Pastor Charles Trout officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
