AKRON – Bonnie J. Pletcher, 73, of 1624 Freedom Drive, Fort Wayne, and formerly of Akron, died at 7:26 a.m. March 23, 2012, at her residence.
She was born June 16, 1938, in Urbana, to Emmett and Annabelle Wagner Grubbs. On July 2, 1955, in Aurora, she married Jerry L. Pletcher, who died March 7, 2002.
She was a secretary at Valmac Auto Sales, Peru. She graduated from Mentone High School and had attended Akron United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Pennie (and spouse Kenrey) Ward, Harrison, Ariz., and Cindy (and spouse Jerry) Bucher, Akron; a son, William Max Pletcher, Mesa, Ariz; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Edward Max (and spouse Patricia) Grubbs, Cloverport, Ky. She also was preceded in death by a daughter.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Akron Untied Methodist Church with Pastor J.P. Freeman and the Rev. Mimi Tucker officiating. Entombment will be at a later date in Mentone Cemetery, Mentone.
Calling is from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
