A false bomb threat was called into the Warsaw Wal-Mart Wednesday afternoon.
At 4:50 p.m. Wednesday, an employee of Wal-Mart, Walton Boulevard, Warsaw, reported receiving a bomb threat from a male subject.
The person calling in the threat allegedly asked the employee, "Is this the Warsaw Wal-Mart?"
When the employee said yes, the caller stated that "bombs are going to be going off in less than two hours."
The employee asked for the caller's name and where the bombs were located. The caller declined to answer both questions.
Police and bomb-sniffing dogs were called in and the store was closed for more than two hours.
Wal-Mart's loss prevention division estimated the store lost somewhere around $50,000 while the store was closed.
Warsaw Police Department is currently investigating the incident.
