Continuously serving Kosciusko County since 1854
Officials have positively identified the body of the woman found Thursday as that of Heather Marie Endicott, 24, of West CR 100N, Warsaw.
Kosciusko County Sheriff Aaron Rovenstine said the identification was made Friday afternoon at St. Joseph Medical Center in Fort Wayne. An autopsy to determine the cause of death was under way late Friday afternoon and authorities hope to know sometime this weekend how Endicott died.
Fishermen found the body wrapped in carpet in a pond behind Center Center shortly before 7 p.m. Thursday.
Endicott was last seen Dec. 4 at Big Daddy's Sports Bar, Warsaw, where her pickup was found by family members on Dec. 5. The pickup was taken home Dec. 9 and police later found the woman's purse and identification in the vehicle.
