AKRON - Bobby Smoker Clark, 75, of 556 Brentwood Drive, Akron, died at 4:15 a.m. April 1, 2010, in William Childs Hospice House, Palm Bay, Fla.

He was born Nov. 1, 1934, in Akron, to Melvin and Mildred Smoker Clark. On June 23, 1956, in Akron, he married Jo Ann Cummins, who survives.

He was a TV technician working for WANE-TV Channel 15 in Fort Wayne, and also for Channel 10 Post Newsweek in Miami, Fla. He graduated from Akron High School in 1952, and Valparaiso Tech with an applied engineering degree in radio. He had an engineering license in TV. He attended Akron Church of God and was a member of IBEW Local 349. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Also surviving are two daughters, Deborah (and spouse Tom) Gerber, Fort Wayne, and Dianna Roberts (and Vinny Toral) Melbourne, Fla.; three sisters, Betty Rohrer, Denton, Texas, and Mary Ann (and spouse Max) Stinson and Donna (and spouse Larry) Wahling, all of Fort Wayne; six granddaughters: Christina Stauffer, Elizabeth and Linda Gregory and Jennifer, Danielle and Laura Roberts; four great-granddaughters; five great-grandsons; a sister-in-law, Melbea Jones, Nappanee; and a brother-in-law, Ralph (and spouse Bev) Cummins, Ellijay, Ga.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron, with Pastor Terry Canfield officiating. Burial will be in Akron Cemetery.

Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
