Bobbie Slone, 50, of 8312 S. CR 400E, Claypool, died at 11:55 p.m. Aug. 5, 2008, at Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital, Missouri.
He was born June 27, 1958, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Orvil and Elizabeth Taylor Slone. On Sept. 27, 1991, in Warsaw, he married Lorrie Johnston, who survives.
He was a lifetime Kosciusko County resident. He was an independent driver owner of BLS Trucking as a driver for Arctic Express Inc. for five years. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1126 and a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Korea. He enjoyed spending time with his dog "Speedy".
Also surviving are eight children: Trisha (and spouse Brian) Johnson, Rochester; Tracy (and spouse James) Pendergrass, Huaehula, Ariz.; Donald Stump and Michael Hively, both of Claypool; Bobby (and spouse Britney) Stump, Misty (and spouse Bobby) Huber and Cody (and spouse Melony) Click, all of Warsaw; and Shasta (and spouse Josh) Stutzman, Larwill; five brothers: Orvil Slone, Guthrey, Okla.; John Slone and Daniel Slone, both of Warsaw; Ron (and spouse Mary) Slone, Port Saint Lucia, Fla.; and Mark Slone, Champaign, Ill; three sisters: Lydia (and spouse Lou) Lichlyter, Florence, Ohio; Sharon (and spouse Larry) Kourick, Tuberville, S.C.; and Justine Slone, Kendallville; 17 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Home, Warsaw, with the Rev. Paul Tinkle officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post 49 and VFW Post 1126.
