Failure of a part in a motor of the heating system at Bob Evans closed the Warsaw restaurant Monday evening. After cleanup, the business reopened this morning. Damage to the restaurant was estimated at $15,000, according to Warsaw Fire Department officials. WFD crews also were called to a 1 a.m. fire today at Hide-Away Hills Mobile Home Park, where a short in an electrical outlet against a plastic dryer vent resulted in a fire that cause about $2,000 damage. Officials weren't sure how many people were inside when the fire began at the Dan John residence, but everyone made it out of the trailer and no injuries were reported. Fire officials said there were no active smoke alarms in the trailer. Residents are urged to routinely check those devices to ensure they are in working order. Photo by Gary Nieter, Times-Union
