SYRACUSE – A Goshen man was arrested Sunday night after he was caught operating his motorboat without lights on Lake Wawasee. According to an Indiana Department of Natural Resources press release, the Kosciusko County Lake Patrol attempted to stop a large cigarette boat travelling at a high rate of speed across Lake Wawasee after dark. The boat did not have any lights on and when officers attempted to stop the operator, he fled. The operator, identified as Daniel Tyler Peterson, 24, Goshen, was later apprehended and charged with resisting law enforcement and operating a motorboat – interfering with the lawful use of a lake. He was held on a $2,000 bond.
