A Warsaw man was extricated from his car and transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital Friday afternoon after his car blew a tire and struck an embankment. Dispatch received a report at approximately 1 p.m. of a single-vehicle collision on Ind. 25, near the intersection with CR 250S, on a stretch of road known as “Devil’s Backbone.” According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, Chuck Lisenbee, 52, Warsaw, was traveling southbound when one of his tires failed. According to a witness traveling behind Lisenbee, he lost control of the vehicle and slid off the west side of the road and struck an embankment and a group of trees. He was traveling alone. Lisenbee was trapped inside the vehicle and was extricated by Warsaw/Wayne Township Fire Department and transported to KCH, complaining of neck and back pain. Police say he was conscious and responsive following the incident.
