So often we ask our loved ones to make a Christmas list - then we search high and low, and go from hardware, to department store, to florist to try and find what's on those lists while we listen to a Christmas tune and hope we've chose just right, after shopping a long afternoon.
But did you ever think of the list that Jesus might dictate? He whose birthday we are about to celebrate?
The list He would give us wouldn't drain our pocketbook - but perhaps it would contain a lot of things we overlook.
Like our love for Him and others, and having regular devotions; Having a desire to serve Him, from deep within our heart, and not just holiday emotions.
Not forgetting to talk to Him many times throughout the day - giving Him praise and adoration, as well as needs, when we kneel to pray.
To have a boldness to tell others of His great love and live our lives so that they might see a little of our Savior above.
So as we shop with those lists, and try and fill those requests, Let's not forget the true meaning of Christmas and how much we are blessed.
