NORTH MANCHESTER - Blanche N. Michael, 95, of North Manchester, formerly of Sidney, died at 2:15 a.m. Feb. 18, 2011, in Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester.
She was born April 18, 1915, in Liberty Mills, to Pearl F. and Erma Boggs McNear. On July 4, 1932, she married Robert H. Michael, who died July 8, 1971.
She was a homemaker. She also worked at General Electric, Fort Wayne, and later retired as a secretary of Blue Flame LP, North Manchester. She was a member of Liberty Mills Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are two sons, Kennith (and spouse Jenine) Michael, Sidney, and Kam (and spouse Patti) Michael, North Manchester; three daughters: Darlene Eckert, North Manchester; Kay (and spouse David) Wall, Tecumseh, Mich.; Karen (and spouse Ed) Wolfe, Warsaw; 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; and a brother.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Timbercrest Chapel, North Manchester, with Pastor Kelly Beutler officiating. Burial will be in South Whitley Cemetery.
Calling is from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel.
