Once upon a time, America was the most powerful and most respected nation in the world. If Progressives got their way, America would be less than a shadow of its former self. I thought Progressives supported progress. The evidence shows the opposite of progress.
Progressives want to defund the police. If that happened, there would be chaos like there was during the Dark Ages when a handful of rich and powerful people controlled the world. Roving bands of brutal thieves stole from the powerless and destroyed their homes and workplaces. We saw that happen on TV. The rich and powerful like Amazon, politicians, the media and internet masters want to control our lives, control our speech and control what we think. A millennium ago, the Roman Catholic Church did this also and destroyed those that opposed it. Today, we have Facebook and Twitter that do that.
Over a millennium ago, Vikings raided England many times. Today, we have Antifa. The Vikings were known terrorists and the civilized world feared them. So why does the media not want to admit that Antifa is also a terrorist group? Maybe the media likes the chaos because it means it will have more to report on.
Over a millennium ago, people believed in superstitions that couldn't be proven. Today, Progressives also believe in superstitions rebranded as science. They say global climate change will destroy the world. They also want to do away with conventional energy sources that helped the civilized world become beneficial for even the poorest of people. Even the pandemic has superstitions surrounding it. The tyrants that governed the various states forbid people to go outside because of COVID-19. But the ultraviolet rays of the sun, the same sun that still controls our climate, kills viruses.
When President Trump warned that the cure for the virus might be worst than the virus, the Progressives said he was wrong. I bet the media won't compare the number of COVID deaths with the deaths caused by drug overdoses and suicides and crimes that were caused due to the lockdown. The George Floyd death wouldn't have happened if he hadn't been laid off and was compelled to make a phony $20 to pay for food. The police responsible for his death should be put away for years for the murder. But I bet the rioters won't feel there is justice until the cops are killed in prison. The rioters sound like the witch hunters of centuries in the past. Often those witch hunters killed innocent people and felt no guilt. The witch hunters of Antifa love to oppress innocent people and feel no guilt if they die.
In November, we can vote to embrace a brighter future that Trump is trying to bring or embrace a new dark age if Progressives condemn us to a bleak future shaped by their warped visions.
