NORTH WEBSTER – Billie J. “June” Zolman, 86, Atwood and formerly of North Webster, passed away Nov. 30, 2014, at her residence. She was born Aug. 19, 1928, in Plymouth, to Paul L. and Bernice Hisey Buckingham. On March 11, 1972, in South Bend, she married Richard S. “Dick” Zolman, who preceded her in death Aug. 11, 2011. She attended Riley High School and Tobias Beauty College, both in South Bend. She moved to the Warsaw/North Webster area in 1975 from South Bend before moving to Atwood with her daughter due to declining health. She retired from Counting House Insurance, Warsaw, as the assistant to the president, Richard Zolman. She was a member of the North Webster American Legion Auxiliary Post #253, and she enjoyed ballroom dancing and boating and fishing on Tippecanoe Lake. Surviving are two daughters, Melinda “Mindy” Groeneweg, Atwood, and Cindy (and spouse Russ) Kuc, Mishawaka; two sons, Paul (and spouse Sharon) Orban, South Bend, and Richard (and spouse Jan) Orban, Warsaw; a stepdaughter, Charlene (and spouse Kenneth) Wurtsbaugh, Mishawaka; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and stepson, Gary Zolman. Entombment services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Riverview Cemetery, 2300 Portage Ave., South Bend.
