The Warsaw Noon Optimist Club recently sponsored its 10th annual Bike Safety Rodeo at Jefferson School. All third and fourth graders brought their bikes to school and each class had six different stations to go through, including bike safety and bike maintenance. Barry McManus, owner of Trailhouse Village Bicycles, helped with the maintenance this year as well as helping with the prizes. This year there were 152 participants, 80 helmets donated to all third graders, and 24 prizes given out for the rodeo and coloring contest. The total benefit to Jefferson School was $1,200. The Warsaw Noon Optimist meets Mondays at noon. Visit www.warsawnoonoptimist.org for more information.
