Third- and fourth-grade students from Jefferson Elementary participated in Bicycle Safety Day sponsored by the Warsaw Noon Optimist Club.
Seventy-seven helmets were given to all third-grade students. A bike safety coloring contest was held and a bicycle rodeo was conducted.
The rodeo included six stations: maneuvering, riding at slow speed, safety talk, figure 8, spiral and paper toss.
The club has been hosting this event at Warsaw elementary schools for the past 20 years.
