Biggs Inc. Seeking Final Plat Approval

Posted

Members of Biggs Inc. will attend the Warsaw Plan Commission tonight in hopes of second and final approval for their planned residential unit development, Paths of Deerfield.

During an Aug. 8 meeting, the Biggs Inc. request was tabled by the commission in hopes of seeing improvements to issues such as allotted recreational space for the subdivision, plans for deceleration lanes into and out of the proposed neighborhood, and agreement stipulations regarding the realignment of the CRs 75N and 175E intersection.

A letter from Lt. Kip Shuter of the Warsaw Police Department to City Planner Jeremy Skinner recommended approving Bigg's plans for deceleration lanes into and out of the subdivision. After calculating traffic flows for the neighborhood, both Shuter and Chief of Police Steve Foster believe the calculated 1.37 cars per minute entering and exiting the complex would not require full turn lanes along the roads.

In new business, RealAmerica Development will present their request for preliminary and final plat approval for a 12-acre commercial lot northwest of CR 300 and Ind. 15.

If approved, RealAmerica will replat a portion of a current lot presently zoned R-3.

Plan commission members are Joe Thallemer, Jeff Grose, Alan Clingan, Tammy Dalton, Jim Gast, Lacy Francis and Rick Keevan.
