Area high schools competed in Penguin Point’s 34th Annual Big Wally Eating Contest. This local event was March 12 at the Detroit Street Penguin Point in Warsaw. All area high schools are invited to compete for a $200 check to help with their prom fund as well as a traveling trophy to display at their school for the year. Penguin Point encourages a cheer block for each school and this draws a crowd. Tippecanoe Valley High School has regained the title, holding it last in 2008, for eating the most Big Wallys. The three-man team ate 21 Big Wallys in the allotted 15 minutes. Pictured (L to R) are: Scott Bibler, Branigan Bahney, Elijah Hurley and Brison Kratzchmar.
