The lst couple of months there have been several articles in the Times-Union which I find disturbing concerning our Warsaw schools, Warsaw city and Kosciusko County government.
First, a janitorial manager at Warsaw schools received undisclosed kickbacks (in gifts) from a South Bend supplier. Result: He is yet to be sentenced.
Second, a Warsaw public works supervisor received (over several months) kickbacks from a South Bend supplier. Result: He will be sentenced July 24. His wife and supplier are yet to be sentenced (Times-Union, June 13, 2017).
Third, a Kosciusko sheriff agreed to one count charge of intimidation (in an effort to get this whole ordeal behind him).
However, it seems as if the Times-Union editor, Mr. Kolbe and Mr. Adams are willing to give the sheriff a pass on this matter (Times-Union, June 11-13, 2017). But the big question that lingers in my mind (the elephant in the room): Why did the sheriff offend on protocal by allowing Mr. Soto and Bronson to meet separately without a jailer present? Maybe this is the same question Mr. Heaton had (started World War II).
