I have a maple tree that this year has shed some leaves measuring 12 inches across. I have brought in a few of them and placed them under acrylic placemats where they are staying well preserved at least for the moment. I attribute their large size to the wet summer and fall we've had. If someone else has another theory, I'd be glad to hear it.
