Beverly ‘Joan’ Gall Spangle
Beverly “Joan” Gall Spangle, 75, of 8491 Ind. 15S, Claypool, left this life behind at 12:48 p.m. April 27, 2012, after a courageous 16-month-long battle against cancer. She was born Dec. 30, 1936, in Claypool, to Edward and Vergie Cripe Gall. On May 1, 1954, she married Kenneth A. Spangle, who survives. She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County and a 1954 graduate of Claypool High School. Until her illness, she was employed by Warsaw Community Schools, in the cafeteria at Edgewood Middle School, for 35 years. She was a devoted wife of 58 years, a wonderful mother and a kind and generous grandmother. She will always be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew her. Also surviving are two daughters, Cindy (and spouse Morris) Jones and Sharon (and spouse Jon) Lynch, all of Silver Lake; two sons, James (and spouse Marcia) Spangle, Fort Wayne, and Dan Spangle, Silver Lake; eight grandchildren: Joshua (and spouse Sarah) Spangle, Amy (and spouse Brett) Leach, Nicholas Spangle, Tanner Spangle, all of Warsaw; Ryann Jones, Portland, Maine; Morgan Jones, Brownsburg; Austin Jones, Emily Lynch, both of Silver Lake; one great-granddaughter, Vivienne Spangle, Warsaw; a sister, Gladys (Betty) Hawn, Mishawaka; three brothers: Melvin “Pete” Gall, Harold (and spouse Martha) Gall, both of South Whitley; and Donald (and spouse Patty) Gall, Elkhart. She was preceded in death by five brothers, two sisters, and one granddaughter. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, and officiated by Chaplain Jim Teasedale. Burial will follow at Lake View Cemetery in Silver Lake.
