OXFORD, Ohio - Beverly Jean Jefferson, 77, formerly of North Manchester, Indianapolis, Chicago and Cincinnati, passed away April 13, 2007, in Westminster North, Indianapolis.
She was born July 12, 1929, in Albion, to Charles and Gladys Frazure Bowman. Her loving husband of 56 years, Donald L. Jefferson, died March 25, 2007.
She was a graduate of Central High School, North Manchester, and attended Elkhart Business College, where she studied to be a medical secretary. She was a legal secretary for Jim Snodgrass, attorney, and later Plummer and Plummer Attorneys, Wabash.
Surviving are two children, Mrs. Gary (Karen Lynn) Jefferson-Clingler, and Steven Michael (and wife Cindy) Jefferson; six grandchildren, Andrew Michael and Cody Mathew Jefferson, Tiffany Marie Pinkerton, Jennifer Leigh Clingler Miller and Kyle Grant Clingler; a great-grandchild, Blair Madelyn Miller; and three sisters, Mrs. Kenny (Janice) Gable, Mrs. Ned (Mary Jane) Brooks and Barbara Grossnickle.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Congregational Christian Church, 310 N. Walnut St., North Manchester. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
Calling is from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the church.
