Beverly Bonnie Burch Stieglitz, 87, Winona Lake, passed away at 1 p.m. March 6, 2016, at Grace Village Health Care and entered the Lord’s presence. She was born Oct. 14, 1928, in Fletcher, Okla., to Willie D. and Lovie A. Gilley Burch. On Aug. 13, 1955, in Oklahoma City, Okla., she married William L. Stieglitz shortly after graduation in 1955 at Nyack Bible College in Nyack, N.Y. He survives in Winona Lake. She and her husband became pioneer missionaries to the Dani tribe in Papua New Guinea while serving under the Christian and Missionary Alliance with work that involved evangelism and literacy. She also ministered as a pastor’s wife in Indiana, Michigan and Texas. Later, she worked for the Free Methodist Headquarters, as well as Goshen College and Nappanee Public Library. She was a member of Nappanee Missionary Church. She had been a resident of Kosciusko County for the past 25 years. She will be lovingly remembered by all her family, which includes two daughters, Rebecca (and spouse Mark) Dingeldein, Milford, and Dinah (and spouse Ernest) Bergan, Wadsworth, Ohio; nine grandchildren: Jonathan (and spouse Julie Stutsman) Dingeldein, Burlington, Iowa; Stephen (and spouse Wendy Weimer) Dingeldein, Durham, N.C.; Daniel (and spouse Megan Okerson) Dingeldein, San Diego, Calif.; Joshua (and spouse Jacqueline Close) Dingeldein, Denver, Colo.; Caleb Dingeldein, Milford; Anna, Nathaniel and Timothy Bergan, all of Wadsworth, Ohio; and Hallie (and spouse David) Eckenrode, Dallas, Texas; seven great-grandchildren: Micah, Noah, Kate (children of Jon and Julie) and Evelyn, Cyrus, Gage and Elsee (children of Stephen and Wendy); and one sister, Gail (and spouse Bruce) Salmon, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Alena (and spouse Forest) Dunbar, Florida, and two brothers, Billy and Patrick Burch, Oklahoma. A celebration of Beverly’s life will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Chaplain Bryan Benjamin and family members officiating A graveside service will be held at Milford Cemetery.
