RIO RANCHO, N.M. – Beverly Ann Fifer, 82, went to be with the Lord Aug. 27, 2015, surrounded by family. She was born Sept. 7, 1932, in Oswego, to Merritt and Eva Hartman on her paternal grandparents’ farm. She married H. Gene Fifer, who preceded her in death. They were married for 54 years. Survivors are: her sister, Marcia (and spouse Stan) Stokes; a brother, Allen (and spouse Lynn) Hartman; a son, Michael (and spouse Robin) Fifer; a granddaughter, Jamie (and spouse Tyler) Ashton; and six great-grandchildren who thought she was the best cook ever. She requested no services. In her words, she and Gene “had a wonderful marriage and a great life.” We will dearly miss her Sunday dinners, her love and her sense of humor.
