NORTH MANCHESTER - Beulah E. Book, 94, of North Manchester, died at 7 p.m. Oct. 21, 2009, in Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester.
She was born May 29, 1915, in North Manchester, to Isaac Bruce and Etta Mae Stone Book.
She was an art teacher in Muncie schools for 40 years, retiring in 1978. She graduated from Chester High School, North Manchester, in 1933, and earned a bachelor's degree from Manchester College in 1939, and a master's degree from Indiana University in 1952. She was a member of Psi Iota Psi, Indiana Retired Teachers and National Art Education Association. She was past president, secretary and treasurer and founding member of Art Education of Indiana. She was a member of Manchester Church of the Brethren, North Manchester.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Timbercrest Chapel, North Manchester, with Pastor Karen Eberly officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
Calling is one hour prior to the service Monday at Timbercrest.
