Betty P. Hoskins, 77, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour at 4:20 p.m. on March 15, 2012, in Summit City Nursing Home, Fort Wayne.
She was born Feb. 18, 1935, in Woollum, Ky., to Leonard and Lula Hammons Bingham. On Feb. 13, 1952, in Jellico, Tenn. she married Mose “Sam” Hoskins, who died June 24, 1976.
She lived most of her life in the area. She was a dietician at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, for 21 years before retiring in 1997. She always had a big smile and a warm embrace for those fortunate enough to have met her on life’s journey. She raised  five children with Christian love and Godly principles. She sacrificed often to provide what comfort she could offer to others in their time of need. She attended First Baptist Church, Warsaw. All of the staff at Summit City Nursing and Rehabilitation, Fort Wayne, absolutely loved “Miss Betty” and will forever miss her glowing personality and loving kindness.
Surviving are a son, Scott (and spouse Jeri) Hoskins, Warsaw; three daughters, Darla (and spouse Richard) Radcliffe, San Francisco, Calif., Marsha (and spouse Mark) Sompayrac, Richmond, Va., and Rita (and spouse Kip) Klopfenstein, Parma, Mich.; a sister, Heloise Rolf, Newport, Ky., a special nephew, Wayne Rolf, Newport, Ky., and seven grandchildren: Matt (and spouse Leah) Hoskins, Warsaw, Ben and Nick Radcliffe, both of San Francisco, Calif., Andrew and Abby Klopfenstein, both of Parma, Mich., and Will and Luke Sompayrac, both of Richmond, Va. She was preceded in death by a loving companion, William Arrasmith in November 2005; a son, Ben Hoskins in 2007 and a daughter, Glenda Hoskins in 1959.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Scott Hoskins, her son, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
