Betty Mae Frantz

NORTH MANCHESTER – Betty Mae Frantz, 89, of North Manchester, died at 9:17 p.m. July 11, 2013, in Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. She was born May 21, 1924, in Whitley County, to George and Ruth Goff Knoop. On Oct. 10, 1944, in Wabash, she married Richard D. Frentz, who died Aug. 19, 1995. She was a 1942 graduate of South Whitley High School. She was a member of the Congregational Christian Church, North Manchester. Surviving are five children: Richard D. Frantz, Janet Bircheff, Karen (and spouse Ralfs) Ravovskis, all of Fort Wayne; Kevin (and spouse Nancy) Frantz, Diana Frantz, all of North Manchester; a sister, Madelyn Greene, Lukens Lake; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Grandstaff-Hentgen Bender Chapel, North Manchester. Burial will be in South Whitley Cemetery.
