NORTH MANCHESTER – Betty L. Baker, 74, of Fort Wayne, died at 4:45 a.m. April 1, 2013, in Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. She was born Sept. 24, 1938, in North Manchester, to Theo L. and Lucy M. Harrison Williams. On Nov. 23, 1957, she married Jack L. Baker, who survives. She was a special education assistant at Fort Wayne Community Schools for 20 years. She was a member of Emmanuel Community Church, Fort Wayne. She graduated from Chester High School in 1956. Also surviving are two sons, Greg A. (and spouse Samantha) Baker, LaOtto, and Jon L. (and spouse Tricia) Baker, Fort Wayne; two daughters, Dawn M. (and spouse Aaron) Green, Greenville, Ohio, and Amie L. Baker, Fort Wayne; a brother, Lester (and spouse Anita) Williams, Georgetown, Texas; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a sister. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with the Rev. Ron Ramsey officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
