Betty Jean SmithBetty Jean Smith, 92, of Warsaw, died at 10:35 p.m. June 3, 2011, in Grace Village Health Care Center, Winona Lake. She was born July 17, 1918, in Kosciusko County, to Jean E. and Bernice Orr Hart. She married Floyd W. Smith, who preceded her in death. She lived most of her life in Leesburg and Warsaw. Her family were the previous owners of Leesburg Grain Elevator. She was involved for many years with the Red Cross blood bank. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and was a former member of Leesburg Methodist Church. Surviving are a son, R. Douglas (and spouse Judi) Smith; three daughters, Cindy (and spouse Jerry) Kammerer; Sheri Bleile and Staci Smith; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. A private graveside service will be in Leesburg Cemetery.
