NORTH WEBSTER – Betty J. Minnick, 83, of Ligonier, and formerly of North Webster and Syracuse, died at 2:24 a.m. Feb. 13, 2012, in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

She was born Oct. 10, 1928, in Larwill, to Cecil H. and Rachel Ann Friend Paulus. On Nov. 23, 1946, in North Webster, she married Harry E. Minnick, who survives.

She graduated in 1946 from North Webster High School and was a lifetime area resident of Kosciusko and Noble counties. She was a homemaker and formerly worked at Monsanto, Ligonier; Rinker’s Dept. Store, North Webster; Whitley Products, Pierceton; and Blue Bell, Columbia City. She was a former member of the Pythian Sisters Lodge, North Webster.

Also surviving are a daughter, Suzanne Shock, Ligonier; three sons: Mike (and spouse Lori) Minnick, Ligonier; Matt (and spouse Kristi) Minnick, Sarasota, Fla.; and Marshall (and spouse Linda) Minnick, Syracuse; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Cecil (and spouse Doris) Paulus, Leesburg. She was preceded in death by three sons and a brother.

A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at North Webster Cemetery, Mock Addition, with Pastor Steve Leinbach officiating.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Family Funeral Home, North Webster.
