HAMLET - Betty J. Harrell, 80, of Culver, died Nov. 4, 2007, in Kosciusko Community Hospital.
She was born March 8, 1927, in Pulaski County, to Elmer and Grace Conn Dilts. On April 15, 1947, in Crown Point, she married Verland "Doc" Harrell, who died in 1990.
She was a homemaker and a member of Knox Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are six daughters: Jacque Middleton, Arkansas; Patricia Smith, Etna Green; Jerri Russell, Griffith; Pamela Harrell, Mentone; Ronda Gray, Arizona; and Verlonda Burleson, Culver; a son, Larry Harrell, Knox; 20 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Fern Bane, Kentucky, and Irene Harrell, Knox; and two brothers, James and William Dilts, both of Knox. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and three brothers.
Services will be at 3 p.m. (CST) Thursday at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. (CST) Saturday at Winamac Cemetery.
Calling is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 11 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
