NORTH MANCHESTER – Betty J. Clark, 82, of North Manchester, died at 6:30 a.m. Oct. 11, 2012, in Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester.
She was born Dec. 27, 1929, in Wabash County, to Wade H. and Ethel B. Binkerd Guthrie. On June 16, 1950, she married Dr. Norman L. Clark, who died Jan. 16, 2008.
She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church, Vincennes. She graduated from Central High School in 1947 and attended Manchester College. She was a Girl Scout leader and trainer for many years in Vincennes. She and her husband were a host family for two students from Hong Kong while they attended Vincennes University. She was a former member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Vincennes.
Surviving are a brother, Richard (and spouse Sharon) Guthrie, Goshen. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Oct. 20 at Peabody Chapel, North Manchester, with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating.
Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
Calling is one half hour prior to the service Oct. 20 at Peabody Chapel.
