Betty I. Hetler, 84, of 850 W. Monoquet Road, Warsaw, died at 5:11 a.m. June 13, 2008, in her residence.
She was born Jan. 4, 1924, in Warsaw, to Claire and Bertha Noble Heagy. On Dec. 6, 1944, she married Jack Hetler, who died April 12, 2001.
She was a secretary for United Telephone Service, retiring in 1977, and a former Kline's Department Store employee. She was a member of Leesburg United Methodist Church, Warsaw Order of the Eastern Star, Leesburg Homemakers Club and was former president of the Kosciusko Community Hospital Auxiliary.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda "Sue" (and spouse Roscoe) Wood, Warsaw; a son, Rick Hetler, Warsaw; and two grandchildren, Jason R. Wood and Michel Hetler, both of Warsaw. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard "Dick" Heagy and Gordon Heagy, and a sister, Virginia Cain.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Oakwood Cemetery Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Michael Heath officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
No calling is planned.
