Betty Drusilla Morgan

AKRON – Betty Drusilla Morgan, 85, of 614 E. Rochester St., Akron, died at 5:45 a.m. Sept. 26, 2012, in Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake.

She was born Jan. 13, 1927, in Jacksonville, Fla., to  John and Drusilla Braddock Ivey. On May 6, 1945, in Jacksonville, she married Dr. Lloyd A. Morgan, who died  April 27, 2003.

She was a homemaker and a member of Akron United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir. She also was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.  

Surviving are four daughters: Michele Braun, Logansport; Adria Martinez and Denis (and spouse David) Bussard, all of Akron; and Allison (and spouse Gene) Strevy, North Manchester; two sons, Dr. James (and spouse Jan) Morgan and Lloyd A. Jr. (and spouse Kathy) Morgan, Akron; 17 grandchildren; 33 great- grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nancy Ann Drury, Jacksonville, Fla. She also was preceded in death by a daughter and a brother.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron. Burial will be private at a later date in Akron Cemetery.
