Betty B. Landis, 94, Warsaw and formerly of Leesburg, passed away at 1:40 p.m. May 18, 2015, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw. She was born Aug. 26, 1920, in Akron, to Estell and Mary Nellens Bryant. On May 23, 1942, she married Arthur William “Bud” Landis, who preceded her in death April 1997. She retired from United Telephone after many years of service in clerical/bookkeeping. She is survived by her three children: Gary Landis, Warsaw; Phil (and spouse Barbara) Landis, Katy, Texas; and Janet (and spouse David) Bennett, Reynoldsburg, Ohio; six grandchildren: Chris, Mike, David, Christie, Erin and Jill; five great-grandchildren: Taylor, Luke, Preston, Avery and Lukas; and a sister, Jean Ellis, Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw. She also was preceded in death by a brother, David Bryant. There will be a celebration of her life at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, at a later date.
