SYRACUSE – Beth Ann Mayhew, 69, Syracuse, passed away April 14, 2014, at her residence. She was born Sept. 14, 1944, in LaPorte, to Guy Virgil and Thelma Inez Crum Anglemyer. On Oct. 7, 1994, she married Lyle R. Mayhew, who survives in Syracuse. She was a lifetime Walkerton/Syracuse area resident and attended Lakeville High School. She formerly worked at the Citco convenience store in North Webster as a manager for several years and at the Frog Tavern in Syracuse and the Syracuse Café. Also surviving are a daughter, Tina (and spouse Steve) Phipps, Warsaw; a son, Tracy (and spouse Renee) Minnix, Syracuse; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two stepsons, Rob and Mark Mayhew, both of Syracuse; and a sister, Linda Jensen, Apache Junction, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Troy Minnix; an infant daughter, Carol Minnix; and two brothers, Del and David Anglemyer. Services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, with Pastor Harlan Steffen of the Wawasee Lakeside Chapel officiating.
