NAPPANEE – Bessie E. Blosser, 91, of Nappanee, died at 1 p.m. March 3, 2013, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa. She was born Feb. 25, 1922, in Nappanee, to George and Nettie Muffley Marquart. On Feb. 12, 1944, in Bourbon, she married Arthur Blosser, who died Sept. 22, 1998. A lifetime area resident, she was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of God, Nappanee, and W.C.G. of the church. She liked to garden and enjoyed baking and needle work. Surviving are two daughters, Sharon K. (and spouse David) Bean and Anita Blosser, all of Nappanee; a grandson, David Jr. (and spouse Emily) Bean, Nappanee; and sister, Treva Herr, Nappanee. She was preceded in death by brothers, Vern, Berlin “Bud,” Harold and Chester Marquart, and sisters, Jenny Marquart, Edith Brock, Pearl Lemler, Florence Hepler, Marjorie Bixler-Baker, Esther Smith and Anna Cripe. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Church of God, Nappanee, with the Rev. Sam Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Hepton Union Cemetery. Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church. ***** Memorials may be given to the Epilepsy Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
