CHESTERTON – Bernice M. Erow, 86, of Milford, died Feb. 22, 2013, in Avalon Springs Health Facility, Valparaiso. She was born July 9, 1926, in Argos, to Burris and Margaret Meiers Brockus. On Oct. 5, 1944, she married Richard Erow Sr., who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and formerly resided in Mishawaka and Three Rivers, Mich. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw. Surviving are four children: Richard Jr. (and spouse Susan) Erow, Chesterton; Alan (and spouse Judy) Erow, Michigan City; Marilyn (and spouse Victor) Staton, Leesburg; and Teri (and spouse Donald) Rumsey, Three Rivers, Mich.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Batcho, Plymouth, and Evelyn Bowman, Sturgis, Mich. She also was preceded in death by three brothers, four sisters and a great-grandson. A memorial service will be at a later date.
