A benefit dinner for Bahley Davis, 2, will be held Saturday in the Bourbon American Legion from 2 to 4 p.m.
Bahley, son of Rich and Chassity Davis, Warsaw, has been diagnosed with Tyrosinemia, a genetic disorder.
For people with Tyrosinemia, protein becomes a poison. The amino acid tyrosine is blocked in Bahley's liver.
The boy is the first Hoosier diagnosed with the disease.
Bahley's problem was finally diagnosed shortly after his first birthday and after months of agony for the baby and his parents.
His special, low- to no-protein diet is extremely expensive.
Benefit tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children 10 and younger.
For more information or tickets, call Bahley's parents Rich and Chassity Davis, 371-8401.
