KENDALLVILLE – Belinda Sue Bryant Beiswanger, 55, of Kendallville, died May 26, 2011, in her residence,  after an eight-month battle with cancer.
She was born July 6, 1955, in Wabash, to G. Wendell and Edna Bryant. On July 7, 1984, at the North Winona Church of the Brethren, Warsaw, she married Lee T. Beiswanger, who survives.
She graduated from Whitko High School in 1973 and Purdue University in 1977 with a degree in education. She then earned a master’s degree from Indiana University. She was an elementary school teacher for 22 years, teaching for the past 12 years at Wayne Center in Kendallville and formerly at Wolf Lake and schools in Whitley County. She was a member of the South Milford Church of Christ for 27 years, where she played piano and was involved in many ways. One of her joys was to travel with her friends and family. Some of her favorite trips took her to Switzerland, Hawaii, Florida, Yellowstone and all over the country on the motorcycle with her husband. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing games and watching movies, reading and playing the piano.
Belinda will be remembered for her sweet spirit and attitude of goodness and kindness to all she encountered. Her joy encouraged her family and friends, and her laugh was known to be heard from the other side of the hallway at school. Her love for the Lord was prominent in the way she lived her life.
Also surviving are a daughter, Kelly, Kendallville; a son, Benjamin, Kendallville; her mother, Edna Bryant, Pierceton; a brother, Bruce (and spouse Lisa) Bryant, Kokomo; a sister, Angie (and spouse Mark) Green, Zionsville; a brother, Jim (and spouse Susan) Bryant, Libertyville, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father in 2005.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at South Milford Church of Christ with Brian Walter, Gil Alicea, Jim Mertz and Kristi and Jarrett officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Kendallville.
Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hite Funeral Home, Kendallville.
