Read your letter, Janet, on Jan. 13. After I finished laughing, I will only respond this way: I don't care to be your history or English teacher. You proved my point, and didn't even realize it.

Yes, I'm old enough to have Medicare and I do, by law, pay monthly Medicare premiums, but I pay for my own insurance monthly, which really isn't any of your business. So I have no Medicare benefits, yet I pay for it. So "gimme" girl, gotcha. The rest of your letter is not worth responding to, except, get a life.

The important issue now, this moment, is defeating this unconstitutional health care reform bill. Getting the socialist communists out of Washington and starting over as far as Congress is concerned. Obama is a one-term president so we will have to wait until 2010 to get him out. But in the meantime, study every candidate. Ask them questions, find out what they stand for and make our voices heard, unified from coast to coast. That's the American way.
