After reading the letter by Rebecca Harvey, I, too, wanted to put my 2 cents in.
Our nation has not become "greedy or selfish" regarding illegal immigrants. They need to crack down harder and end it! No one is saying that immigrants shouldn't come here. The operative word is illegal - no one should be allowed to enter this country illegally. I have folks in my family who married folks from Mexico. But they went about it the right way - the legal way! They came here and became citizens!
My family migrated here from Ireland, France, England and Netherlands. But they didn't sneak into the United States. They proudly entered and became citizens.
Many of the rapes, murders, robbery and auto accidents now in the U.S. are being committed by illegals. What is wrong with this picture?
God's word tells us to obey the law. No where does it say some of us should obey and others do not have to.
Another thing - I don't want my hard-earned money going to support illegals from any country. Either they enter this nation the right way to enjoy our beauty and wealth, or stay in their native land. Simple as that. God bless legals. God bless America!
