A breast cancer awareness pink ribbon hanging ceremony was held Friday afternoon at the Kosciusko County Courthouse. Redeemer Lutheran Church and Tri Kappa are holding a breast cancer awareness day today at the Orthopaedic Capital Center at Grace College in Winona Lake. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. with raffles and a light breakfast. Tri Kappa bingo games begin at 9:30 a.m. and run until noon with prizes including Longaberger and Vera Bradley items. The cost is $25 at the door. Redeemer Lutheran Church's 'Pretty in Pink' party will have an auction preview from 1:30 to 2 p.m. at the Orthopaedic Capital Center. The cost is $10 at the door. Guest speaker Barbara Bradley Baekgaard, co-founder of Vera Bradley Designs, will speak at 2 p.m., and the auction will be from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.The day benefits Tri Kappa philanthropies, Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer, and the family of Rachel Doyle, a Riley Hospital for Children cancer patient.
