The city of Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department will have lifeguards on duty at both Pike and Center lakes this holiday weekend on Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and on Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The last official day that the city parks department will have lifeguards at the beaches will be Labor Day on Monday. Swimmers can still enjoy Pike and Center Lake beaches after the Labor Day holiday. For a safe swimming experience this holiday weekend, observe city beach rules, and use good judgment when using the diving board and swimming from the piers. Children should never be left alone at or near the beach. Lifejackets are encouraged for non swimmers. Alcohol and dogs are not permitted at the beaches or in the parks.
