The sixth annual “Be Healthier Weekend” is this weekend at Warsaw Missionary Church. The event is Saturday with a switchback 5K run and walk and a conference on healthy living Sunday at Warsaw Missionary Church, 1849 Spring Hill Road and U.S. 30, Warsaw. The switchback starts at 8 a.m. with registration from 7 to 7:42 a.m. Race day cost is $20. The conference that starts at 1:30 p.m. Sunday is free and will have topics including: “What We Think About Food,” “Protecting Your Health” and “Starting A Better Exercise Plan.” There also will be free health screenings. Attendees can hear from a pharmacist, Hall Of Fame certified marathon coach, and Weight Watchers and Northern Indiana Hispanic Health Coalition representatives.
