A shooting Sunday evening is under active investigation by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office.
According to KCSO Public Information Officer Sgt. Chris Francis, emergency personnel were dispatched to a residence at 6:12 p.m. Sunday in the Barbee Lakes area of EMS B73 Lane for a man with a gunshot wound.
It was determined the incident occurred following an altercation at the residence. The injured person was taken by Lutheran Air Ambulance to a Fort Wayne hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Francis said.
No further information was released about the suspect or situation by police.
KCSO was assisted at the scene by North Webster, Pierceton and Winona Lake police departments, North Webster Fire Department and Lutheran Air Ambulance.
