Barbara Marston Norris, 90,  Winona Lake, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 18, 2016, at Grace Village Health Care of Winona Lake.
She enjoyed living for the past 10 years at Grace Village and was a faithful attendee of their Chapel.
She was born June 19, 1925, in Seattle, Wash., to Dewey Egbert and Alice May Cathey Marston. On June 9, 1951, she was married to Paul Clifton Norris, who passed away March 25, 2010.
She was raised in Cedar Lake and attended Greenville College, Greenville, Ill., for two years and Wheaton College in Wheaton, Ill., for two years where she received her bachelor’s degree in English. She supported herself during World War II and her college years working in the steel mills in Gary.
She started her career working for Child Evangelism in Louisville, Ky., but most of all she enjoyed her job as being a mother of seven children. She was extremely proud to point out that they were all college graduates. She had been a resident of Kosciusko County for the past 10 years, moving from Melbourne, Fla. She was a staunch supporter of Community Cornerstone Church in York, Pa., which was started by her son, Mark Norris.
She will be lovingly remembered by her four daughters: Cathy (and spouse Edward) Kutch, Sevierville, Tenn.; Susan (and spouse Jeffrey) Kemper, Dover, Pa.; Gayle Trollinger (and spouse Mike Malone), Findlay, Ohio; Barbara (and spouse Jeffrey) Cerny, Carol Stream, Ill.; two sons, Paul (and spouse Janice) Norris, Glenwood, Md., and Mark (and spouse Marla) Norris, Warsaw; 14 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jonathan James Norris; a granddaughter, Angela Jean Norris; and her brother, Robert Marston.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Jeff Pfeifer officiating. A graveside service will be at 9 a.m. Friday at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
