NORTH MANCHESTER - Barbara J. Hiatt, 78, of North Manchester, died at 11:30 p.m. July 20, 2010, in her residence.
She was born Dec. 21, 1931, in Sommerset, to Kenneth and Leona R. Thompson Rogers. On March 28, 1952, she married Jan C. Hiatt, who died June 17, 2005.
She retired as a nurse from Peabody Retirement Community in 1995. She was a member of St. Robert's Catholic Church, North Manchester. She graduated from LaFontaine High School in 1947, and was secretary of the class.
Surviving are a son, Jan C. Hiatt, Claypool; two daughters, Debbie (and spouse Robert) Petrone, Mansfield, Mass., and Tammy (and spouse Steve) Rogers, North Manchester; five brothers: Kenneth (and spouse Mary) Rogers, Indianapolis; David (and spouse Connie) Rogers, Akron; and Steve Rogers, J.D. (and spouse Kathy) Rogers and Patty (and spouse Doug) King, all of Roann; six grandchildren: Dennis Hiatt, Claypool; Mindy, Jon and Joel Rogers, all of North Manchester; Danielle Morley, East Bridgewater, Mass.; and Meghan Petrone, Mansfield, Mass.; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Robert's Catholic Church, North Manchester, with Father Thomas Kodakassery officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
